Facebook Demographics
Here is my first attempt at making an infographic instead of the usual slideshow.
This infographic is about Facebook and it shows the number of users worldwide (near to 600 million users) with a breakdown by continent, macro-area and countries.
It also shows sex and age in continents, macro-area and age distribution in top20 countries.
42% of all Facebook users is located in America, 27% in Asia and 25% in Europe.
The biggest macro-areas by number of users are:
Northern America with over 163 million users, South-eastern Asia with about 76 million users and Western Europe with 46,5 million users.
The infographic also shows the top 20 countries by Facebook users as of 15-01-2011.

– 8 american countries (U.S., Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela)
– 6 asian countries (Indonesia, Turkey, India, Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia)
– 5 european countries (U.K., France, Italy, Germany, Spain)
– 1 oceanian country (Australia)
The top 20 countries list includes 8 american countries (U.S., Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela), 6 asian countries (Indonesia, Turkey, India, Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia), 5 european countries (U.K., France, Italy, Germany, Spain) and Australia.
A graphical visualization of sex by countries shows how Africa and Southern/Western Asia have a higher concentration of male Facebook users.
The average of age in the world is @28,2 while in some countries average age is lower (Southern-eastern Asia @24.1) and higher (Northern America @31.2)
